Wasn't sure about the chrome base at first but it actually keeps the brush standing upright and drying evenly between shaves. The razor holding Mach 3 blades means I didn't have to buy a whole new set of cartridges, which was a nice bonus. Feels solid enough that it just sits on the counter looking
